Start with the Existing Motor and Drive

For a machine upgrade, send the full part number of the installed drive and clear photos of the motor and drive nameplates. Include the motor’s rated power, voltage, current and speed. If a value is difficult to read, send a photo rather than guessing.

Describe What the Machine Does

Tell us whether the drive runs a pump, fan, conveyor, spindle or another type of equipment. Explain what needs to change, such as the speed range or starting load. If the machine uses a brake or an encoder for speed or position feedback, include those details.

Check Connections and Installation Requirements

Include the available supply voltage, control cabinet space and the communication interface used by the machine, such as PROFINET or PROFIBUS. An alternative drive may require changes to wiring, settings or software. Have the person responsible for the machine confirm compatibility before ordering.
